An exceptional elementary education starts with strong academics—and grows through curiosity, creativity and connection. In Minnetonka, children explore their interests, build meaningful friendships and develop the confidence to take on new challenges.

Two pathways to an outstanding education
Every Minnetonka elementary school offers both an English program and a Language Immersion program, bringing children together in a school community that values language, culture and discovery. Chinese Immersion is offered at two schools and Spanish Immersion at four.

Beginning in Kindergarten, families can choose our English program or an immersion experience in which students learn academic subjects in Chinese or Spanish. Both pathways provide a strong academic foundation, while immersion students also develop proficiency in a second language throughout their elementary years.

Learning that opens doors
Students build essential skills in language arts, mathematics, science and social studies while exploring art, computer coding, health, media and technology, music and physical education. Opportunities such as band, choir and orchestra expand their musical experiences as they grow.

Across subjects, students learn to ask thoughtful questions, solve problems, collaborate and communicate their ideas. Creativity and critical thinking are part of everyday learning.

Children bring different strengths, interests and experiences to the classroom. Our teachers get to know each learner and adapt instruction to provide the support and challenge they need to move forward. The goal is for every child to grow in both skills and confidence.

More ways to belong
Learning and discovery continue beyond the school day through our outstanding Community Education Center. Before- and after-school enrichment activities give students opportunities to try something new, explore a favorite interest and connect with classmates. With options ranging from short sessions to yearlong experiences, children can find new ways to get involved and feel at home in their school community.
