Daniel Campbell

Daniel Campbell brings nearly 20 years of experience in writing, design, marketing, branding, and web management to his role as Creative Director at Minnetonka Public Schools. He provides both strategic vision and practical, hands-on knowledge to his work and has a life-long passion for education. Campbell places an emphasis on telling the District's stories with creativity, inclusivity and positivity.

As Creative Director, Campbell supports the District's vision by leading production of print and digital collateral and setting the District's brand standards. He is the editor-in-chief and designer for signature publications such as the Minnetonka Alumni Magazine and the Annual Report. Campbell also develops the District's logos, oversees all aspects the Minnetonka Public School website and supports enrollment by leading marketing efforts. Campbell actively reaches out to the alumni community through his role as the District's liaison to the Minnetonka Alumni Association.

Campbell began his career in education at Hamline University in 2004, spending eight years in the Student Affairs Department assisting the Dean of Students, managing websites, developing signature events and creating digital and print collateral. He joined Hamline's Marketing and Communications Department in 2012 where he co-lead their web team, develop emails and collateral, create SEO and Marketing Reports and led the redesign of the University's mascot, the Piper. He was promoted to Lead Digital Marketing Specialist before coming to Minnetonka Public Schools in fall 2017. In addition to his higher education experience, Campbell has worked as a freelance writer and designer for major companies like Medtronic, Johnson & Johnson Vision, Global Air Charters and many more.

Campbell earned a Bachelor's degree in English with a minor in Studio Art and a Master's degree in Writing from Hamline University. He was the 2010 graduate student recipient of the John Wesley Award for Leadership and Service, Hamline University's most prestigious award. His writing and visual artwork have been featured at numerous gallery shows in Minnesota and across the country. He lives in Lino Lakes with his wife, son and dog.
