Celebrating Maintenance & Custodial Staff 2025

From September 29-October 3, Minnetonka Public Schools is celebrating Maintenance and Custodial Staff Appreciation Week. Maintenance and custodial staff include building engineers, custodians, groundskeepers, HVAC professionals, carpenters, painters and maintenance drivers. They work to keep the Minnetonka School district buildings safe and clean places for learning and play a crucial role in all of the District's organized activities and events.

In honor of the week, we are highlighting one of our many dedicated custodial and maintenance employees who has been working in the District since 2010. Jeff Luedloff began his career at Minnetonka Schools as the a Building Engineer at Scenic Heights Elementary School, and since 2021, he has served as the District’s HVAC Specialist.

Luedloff’s day begins at 4:00 a.m. His early schedule allows plenty of time during the day for his passion, woodworking. As a member of the Minnesota Woodturners Association, he supports woodturning through education, service and community engagements.

During a "wood and tree" science unit for Minnetonka kindergarteners, Luedloff has shared about his hobby with students. He enjoys sharing his knowledge and demonstrating his wood-turning skills in our community.

Thank you for your dedication to Minnetonka Schools, Jeff!

The Minnetonka Schools community is grateful for our maintenance and custodial staff members and the dedication they have in ensuring that our schools and buildings remain clean and safe. This week, make sure to thank or send a kind message to the maintenance staff, buildings and grounds staff and custodians at your building!
